Eid-el-Kabir: Kwara Primary Health Care Executive Secretary, Elelu felicitates the Muslim faithful at Sallah

The Executive Secretary, Kwara State Primary Health Care Development Agency (KWPHCDA). Dr Nusirat Elelu congratulated the Muslim Ummah on the occasion of the Sallah festival.

Elelu, in her Sallah message, commended the efforts of the state government led by Governor AbdulRahmon AbdulRazaq for sustaining the state in the face of its numerous challenges.

She urged the Muslim faithful to imbibe the lesson of sacrifice that Eid-el-Kabir symbolises.

According to her, “The period of Eid-el-Kabir celebration is a time to embrace the virtues of love, peace, unity, kindness and sacrifice, as exemplified by the Holy Prophet Muhammad (SAW), during and after the celebrations.”

Elelu appealed to governments at all levels to be more mindful of their primary responsibility of securing lives and property.

She noted that the security challenges in the country “are becoming worrisome and of great concern to all and sundry,” adding that “the primary responsibility of any government is to protect lives and property under its care. To say that many families are mourning and gnashing teeth during this occasion is an understatement.”

She, however, urged Nigerians not to cease praying for Nigeria, noting that the purpose of Allah shall prevail for the country.

Elelu expressed hope that with divine intervention and continued support of Nigerians for the government, Nigeria will soon overcome the challenges.

She cautioned the Muslim ummah to be mindful of the preventive measures of COVID-19 to prevent the further spread of the disease.
