WORLD TEACHERS DAY '22: "THE TRANSFORMATION OF EDUCATION BEGINS WITH THE TEACHERS"

The words "no Teachers, no Nation" is very true. They are the foundation of all nation-building processes. Teachers teach us how to harness life to the fullest. Wherever you find something extraordinary, you will find the fingerprints of a great teacher. No doubt, they are the number one heroes.

Technology and efficiency may have hijacked another profession, to teachers they are just a tool. When it comes to getting the kids working together and motivating them, the teachers are the most important. For they are facilitators, motivators and sources of inspiration.

Teachers are the builders of every institution. The only profession that has the capability of instilling hope, courage, motivation, and love in a child who is in the learning phase of their life.

Haven't acknowledged the teachers as the builders of careers. For the people so important to the entire world,  let's not fail to talk about their welfare. How are teachers being treated?

It's so sad that, in today's world, Teachers are been looked down upon. For people that have contributed so much, peanuts should not be their take-home reward.

It's so sad that teachers, who are supposed to be on the list of highest-paid workers were found on the list of least-paid workers. So disheartening!

As part of our agenda to ensure a Prosperous Kwara, teachers are one of the important stakeholders and will be given special attention. We believe that every problem should be nipped in the bud and we have acknowledged teachers as problem solvers; must be provided with every needed and necessary resource that will aid their activities and guarantee a quality result.

This will not go well without a well-structured and befitting reward system. It should be anathema for a teacher to be given peanuts as a reward for their incomparable impact. We will, as well, make sure we provide avenues where teachers will be trained and retrained in other to meet the global standard.

However, I want to urge the incumbent government to, within the little time they have left in office, should do the needful by ensuring that teachers and other workers are been taken care of. Their welfarism should be on the A-list of the to-do lists.

I want to, also plead, on behalf of the SUBEB and the Local Government workers to the Kwara state government, to, as a matter of urgency, pay the salaries of the hardworking people. They have families to take care of and to ensure optimum performance, not even their salary must be delayed as we have it presently.

I hereby, on behalf of the SUBEB teachers, the LG, and the rest of the workers, plead to the government. Governments are more susceptible to change; the workers remain and, about your government, they will have a story to narrate.

To all the TEACHERS, "The Transformation Of Education Begins With YOU and a Prosperous Kwara will not be possible without you.

I celebrate you as your student...

I celebrate you as your child...

I celebrate you as a beneficiary of your KNOWLEDGE!

Happy Teachers Day To All the Teachers of The World!
