Kwara Poly Marks 50th Anniversary With "Chameleon Love" Movie Premiere

 

The entire staff and students of the Kwara State Polytechnic, Ilorin, today hosted the general public to the screening of the remarkable play titled, Chameleon Love, as part of the activities slated to mark the institution's Golden Jubilee.

Chameleon Love, is a story that appeals to a lot of young people as it relates to actual scenarios that happen in their lives. This short film also has an epic plot twist that keeps the audience dazed.

The movie which was premiered at the Real Admiral Muhammed Lawal Auditorium, had in attendance the management team of the polytechnic as led by the Rector, Dr Jimoh Abdul with an audience of over 2000 students in attendance.

The Play which was reviewed by erudite scholar, Associate Professor Isiaka Aliagan was written by Olufadi Balarabe Ayuba, a lecturer in the Department of Mass Communication and performed by the HND2 students of the department.  



Celebrated Nollywood actor and Senior Special Assistant to Kwara State Governor on Culture and Tourism, Hon. Muka Ray Eyiwumi endorsed the movie; noting that he was impressed by the quality of the movie and the healthy dose of suspense that ran throughout the length of the movie.



The premiere was honoured with the presence of the Executive Secretary of Kwara State Primary Health Care Development Agency Dr. Nusirat Elelu, the Executive Members of the Kwara State Polytechnic Alumni Association, the Senior Special Assistant to Kwara Governor on Creative Industry, Hon. Ahmed Abdulgafar, represented by Mr Bolaji Mogaji-Nda, Students Union Leaders among other distinguished personalities.



Highlights of the event include a movie premiere, fundraising for the production of the movie, games, entertainment and refreshments.
