Rector Commiserates with Governor over Alaya's Death

The Rector, Kwara State Polytechnic, Ilorin, Engr. Abdul Jimoh Muhammed has described the sudden death of the  Permanent Secretary, Ministry of Tertiary Education, Hajia Sidikat Alaya as a massive loss to the Ministry and the State at large.


The Rector in a condolence message to the Commissioner, Ministry of Tertiary Education, Dr. Afeez Abolore Alabi, described the late Alaya as a great asset known for her creative ideas and impressive approach to work.

The condolence message which was issued and signed by the Polytechnic Public Relations Officer, Hajia Halimat Garba commiserated with the Executive Governor of the State, Mall. AbdulRahman AbdulRasaq, the Commissioner for Tertiary Education, and entire family of the deceased, noting that late Alaya was an excellent and exceptional administrator, adding that her dedication and efforts had set new records for others to follow.

Abdul stressed that the entire Polytechnic community is extremely saddened to hear about the painful death of the Permanent Secretary.

According to the message, "the entire Polytechnic community deeply mourn the sad demise of Hajia Sidikat Alaya and with deepest sense of grief, we Commiserate with His Excellency, Mall. AbdulRahman AbdulRasaq, the Commissioner, Ministry of Tertiary Education, Dr Afeez Abolore Alabi, the families of the deceased and the entire people of Kwara State."

"During her life time, Hajia Alaya was known for her extraordinary professional skills and commitment to the development of education sector in the State. She will always be remembered for her tremendous contributions to the ministry."

The Rector prayed Allah to accept her return, forgive her shortcomings and give the ministry, family members and entire Kwarans the fortitude to bear  the irreparable loss.
