STUDENTS’ UNION GOVERNMENT, KWARA STATE POLYTECHNIC ILORIN

THE PLANNED PROTEST A TOTAL FALLACY, WE ARE NOT PART OF DISRUPTION!

Refer to the circulated flyer and other messages on the social media signifying an intent of protest in Kwara state Polytechnic, the students' union Government under the leadership of Sen.Ishola Abdulsalam (Gigabyte) wishes to inform the populace that we are not part of the purported protest.

As a responsible Student leader and activist, the modus operandi of every agitation is in faces,  albeit the 3cs of Aluta as enshrined. The consultation, consolidation, and the last in any case of a deadlock as a result of injustice CONFRONTATION.

It is then an aberration for anybody to on behalf of the union took the Cs in reverse order, it doesn't in any way portray such individuals as people of orientation and progressiveness.

The incumbent executive since her emergence has never encouraged or supported any form of protest before getting things done, we have with the management an administrative understanding that has hitherto led to solving issues without any form of protest or resolve to violence, the Union came together some days ago with the management to plan and engage the freshers, to orientate them and welcome the stalites back to the campus, it is therefore unheard that the same union will be looking to disrupt the same resumption.

Perhaps, it is time for the Gigabyte administration to without any equivocation state that we won't tolerate any form of  hooliganism in our campus as the image of this great citadel of learning is of importance to us.

We hereby urge our students to disregard such flyers and Say no to any form of violence within the campus, we are assuring you of always protecting your rights and privileges through the most responsible and legal means.

No protest is being planned and no protest shall take place in the polytechnic environment.

Thank you!
