Dr Nusirat Elelu Mourns KWASU VC, Prof. Akanbi


 The Executive Secretary, Kwara State Primary Health Care Development Agency. Dr Nusirat Elelu has mourned the sudden demise of KWASU VC. Prof. Muhammad Mustapha Akanbi SAN who died recently in Lagos.


She described the Professor of Law as an erudite scholar and humble servant of Allah who sacrificed his life for human capital and community development.


She extended her condolences to the family, relatives, Ilorin Emirate, Kwara state government, university community and bar association.


"Only Him takes and gives, may He forgive his shortcomings. May Allah be pleased with his return and grant the family the fortitude to bear the irreplaceable loss", she prayed

  Attention of the Polytechnic Authority has been drawn to    a publication tagged   *"23-year-old Kwara Poly Student arrested for swindling African-American lady"* which has gone viral on social media. The Management wishes to disclaim this malicious news about the Polytechnic with the fact that Awoleye Joshua Oluwatofunmi is not a student of the Institution. Please, note that the said Awoleye was once a student of the institution, and had graduated from the Polytechnic since 2021 with Lower Credit at National Diploma Level from Mechanical Engineering Department.   Although Awoleye was recently offered admission to study Mechanical Engineering at Higher National Diploma level but the admission was withdrawn when he refused to register.  As we are charging up for 2023 elections in Kwara State, there should be equity and justice in sharing of position in Kwara politics. This is beyond party interest. Kwara Central has enjoyed Governorship position for more than eight years. Likewise, Kwara South senatorial district had the same opportunity for 8years in the state. By God's grace and will, the position of Kwara State governor will go to Kwara North senatorial district in 2023. The district had waited for 30 years, so this opportunity is well deserved. People's Democratic Party (PDP) has shown full respect for equity and justice, this is why Kwarans will fully support the party in the forthcoming general elections.
