NO EXAMS FOR STUDENTS WITHOUT 75% ATTENDANCE___Jimoh Abdul

Image
The Rector of Kwara state polytechnic, Ilorin, Engr. Dr Abdul Jimoh Mohammed has affirmed that the polytechnic will not permit any student that is unable to meet the 75% class attendance requirement to sit for examinations when the time comes. Abdul made this known in his speech at the polytechnic's first Open Distance Flexible Electronic Learning (ODFeL) students' matriculation day held at the Rear Admiral Mohammed Alabi Lawal auditorium, Kwara state polytechnic, Ilorin, recently.  He emphasised that the polytechnic has made every provision for the convenience of student's stay in the polytechnic by providing more lecture rooms, furniture, 24 hours internet connectivity, solar-powered boreholes in some of the hostels and solar-powered lights from various hostels to designated classrooms which are targeted at encouraging night classes as well as expel all forms of atrocities that are usually carried out at late hours. "I need to inform you that failure to fulfil 75%

NOT ABOUT RALLY: HOW MUCH KWARA STATE GOVERNMENT GENERATES MONTHLY, DEAR COMMISSIONER FOR FINANCE, MRS. FLORENCE OYEYEMI?

Image
How long would Otoge Government be taking good people of Kwara State for a ride? After years of disservice. After years of hibernation. After years of masses-phobia, our dear Kwara State Commissioner for finance, * Florence Oyeyemi * , was on air this morning. What would have been expected of our dear Commissioner could have been to come up with reasonable answers to some long awaiting questions, such as how much Kwara generates monthly and others, that masses have been asking the Government she's employed to serve. But so unfortunately, instead of our finance commissioner to toe this Honourable lane, she was busy discussing the unfortunate rally of APC where our scarce resources were wasted on in the name of 'mobilizing people' to fake NOT existing popularity. As expected, one of the callers called * Mrs. Oyeyemi * to her duty by asking her to state what Kwara State Government generates monthly instead of discussing frivolity that has nothing to do with the good peop

Re:23-year-old Kwara Poly student arrested for swindling African-American lady

Attention of the Polytechnic Authority has been drawn to    a publication tagged   *"23-year-old Kwara Poly Student arrested for swindling African-American lady"* which has gone viral on social media. The Management wishes to disclaim this malicious news about the Polytechnic with the fact that Awoleye Joshua Oluwatofunmi is not a student of the Institution. Please, note that the said Awoleye was once a student of the institution, and had graduated from the Polytechnic since 2021 with Lower Credit at National Diploma Level from Mechanical Engineering Department.   Although Awoleye was recently offered admission to study Mechanical Engineering at Higher National Diploma level but the admission was withdrawn when he refused to register. He is therefore not a student of the Polytechnic as only registered students are recognized by the institution. On the strength of this, the Polytechnic Management enjoins all stakeholders and members of the public to always verify the verac

BAYO SANNI: THE FACT HAS BEEN ESTABLISHED

Image
In legislative circles, the norm is to refrain from engaging with any individual after a resolution of the House has been passed. However, against this established legislative norm, one is constrained to respond to wild allegations made by a former management staff of Harmony Holdings, Mr. Bayo Sanni who, quite ironically, appeared before the 8th Kwara State House of Assembly and was roundly indicted by the House. Curiously, Mr. Sanni,  five years his sack from Harmony Holdings, has suddenly woken up from deep slumber  ostensibly with the aim of exonerating himself from misdeeds which, after thorough investigations, were traced to him as a functionary of the Holding company, and as was proclaimed by the 8th  Assembly. While it may not be out of place for an individual who was found wanting in his conduct to seek all manner of ways, reasonable or otherwise,  to abdicate himself of wrongdoings, one is compelled to pronounce Mr. Bayo Sanni’s recent media outing against the Assembly a

BALA IS SOMEONE TO WHO I OWE EVERYTHING!

Image
Alongside other gentlemen from all walks of life, I was fully on ground to share the thrills and frills with Bala and Robia, last Sunday. Ayub and I have been good friends since 2011. We crossed paths at the Department of Mass Communication, Kwara State Polytechnic, Ilorin. And ever since, it's been a smooth ride. He has no definite character. Everything good defines him. He is, no doubt a soulmate, and I wouldn’t be able to survive without having him in my life.  He comes into people’s lives with a purpose and he changes them. He makes every single person around him better, without even realizing it. Olufadi is the person that someone can only live without if they’ve never lived with him before. He lights up every room and lifts every single person around him. You wouldn't need him before he makes himself available. Without saying a word, he has taught me what I couldn't have learnt by reading a thousand books.  On Sunday 8th January 2023, we converged at his family house
