Elelu, Executive Secretary of Kwara Primary Health Care, Celebrates Hijrah 1444AH With the Muslim Faithful

Kwara State Primary Health Care Development Agency (KWPHCDA) Executive Secretary. Dr. Nusirat Elelu congratulated the Muslim Ummah on the occasion of new year islamic calendar. Elelu praised the efforts of the royal father, the Emir of Ilorin. Alhaji (Dr). Ibrahim Sulu Gambari (CFR) for his alacrity in maintaining peace and harmony in the state. She applauded the state government, led by Governor. AbdulRahmon AbdulRazaq, in sustaining the state in the face of numerous challenges, especially for his supportive role in the health sector. She urged Muslims to learn the lesson of sacrifice that Hijrah represents. The gubernatorial candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, in Kwara State, Alh. Shuaibu Yaman Abdullahi has described the emergence of Sen. Ademola Adeleke Jackson Nurudeen as the governor-elect of Osun State as a victory for democracy. In a statement from his media and publicity office in Ilorin on Sunday–  "The hitherto nascent Nigeria's democracy is gradually coming to an age where the voices of the masses are resonated and their votes counted"–Yaman. The Executive Secretary, Kwara State Primary Health Care Development Agency (KWPHCDA). Dr Nusirat Elelu congratulated the Muslim Ummah on the occasion of the Sallah festival. Elelu, in her Sallah message, commended the efforts of the state government led by Governor AbdulRahmon AbdulRazaq for sustaining the state in the face of its numerous challenges.  She urged the Muslim faithful to imbibe the lesson of sacrifice that Eid-el-Kabir symbolises. Ilorin Durbar: A Historic Celebration

Three years ago, in 2018, cultural integration arrived in Ilorin, the capital of Kwara state, to bring people from far and near together. Indigenes and non-indigenes alike gathered before the Emir of Ilorin, Alh. Dr. Ibrahim sulu Gambari (CFR), to commemorate Durbar and reconnect not only with the people and friends of Ilorin Emirate, but also with their cultural heritage, reminding them of their glorious past in an effort to further promote and preserve the people's increasingly vanishing cultural heritage. Durbar festival is usually celebrated on the second day following Eid-Fitri. It begins with prayers, is followed by a horse-drawn parade of the Emir and his entourage, accompanied by musicians, and concludes at the Emir's palace. Durbar festivals are held in cities such as Kano, Katsina, Sokoto, Zaria, and Bida, which are popular tourist destinations.
