Osun Election: A Victory for Democracy -Yaman

The gubernatorial candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, in Kwara State, Alh. Shuaibu Yaman Abdullahi has described the emergence of Sen. Ademola Adeleke Jackson Nurudeen as the governor-elect of Osun State as a victory for democracy.


In a statement from his media and publicity office in Ilorin on Sunday–  "The hitherto nascent Nigeria's democracy is gradually coming to an age where the voices of the masses are resonated and their votes counted"–Yaman.

Alh. Yaman congratulated the governor-elect on his well-deserved victory and urged him to remain committed to his electoral promises. 

"Every great political campaign rewrites the rules; devising a new way to win is what gives campaigns a comparative advantage against their foes. you have been overwhelmed by the response that you have received on the doorstep during this campaign. 

The gubernatorial hopeful also congratulated the PDP leadership for the support given to Adeleke while the campaign lasted. 

"I, especially, congratulate the President, 8th National Assembly, Dr Abubakar Bukola Saraki, for his pioneering role in the Osun struggle", Yaman said. 

Alh. Yaman implored the good people of Kwara State to emulate the energy and determination shown by the people of Osun in making sure that their votes count, hence, bringing on board their preferred candidate.
